I HAVE A TUMBLR

Hey guys, just a lil' update to let you all know that I now have a Tumblr as well as this Blog! This blog WILL STILL BE HERE and I will still be uploading things to it. I wouldn't shut it down or delete it for the world. There are too many memories here! So yeah, here's the link to the Tumblr, and I'll talk to you guys soon. Bye!

Weapons and Equipment

Here’s a whole host of video game and cartoon weapons and equipment for you to enjoy! Let me know if you want to another one, there are SO many more I could have used but I just chose these. See ya!

Some of My Favourites...

These are just a few my favourite video games and cartoons rolled into one character!

Key:
Minecraft: Head and pickaxe
Portal 2: Gun, trousers, and companion cube.
Pokemon: Pokeball belt (I was going to add Pikachu on his shoulder but I honestly couldn't).
Legend of Zelda: Hat, face, boots, sword, shoulder sling, boots, and Navi (fairy).
Scott Pilgrim: Wristbands and T-shirt (just realised that I probably could have added his sword on his back as well... Dammit).

SCOTT PILGRIM

"So... We try again."
This is probably one of the best drawings I've ever done, it certainly looks brilliant! This is copied straight from the cover of Scott Pilgrim Volume 6, so it's him in his most stylised and cartoony form (he started off more realistic but his artist changed his style).

Portal 2: Gel and Cube

This is a design on a T-shirt if I remember correctly... But I didn't copy it, I can say that honestly, it probably looks nothing like the T-shirt! But I really like this drawing, and for people who don't know about Portal this just looks like a cool abstract drawing, so it works out either way!

Link Hookshot

I really like the look of the classic Legend of Zelda Hookshot, it's the Zelda equivalent of the grappling hook and it's rad. This is also, in case you didn't notice, the first time I've ever drawn Link with a nose!

Scott Pilgrim: Final Fantasy Bassline

Here's a lil' something that wasn't copied from the comics, but still has some sort of relevance. If you've read the comics, you'll understand, if you haven't, do it now! The dude on the right is Stephen Stills, the Talent.

Scott Pilgrim: "You don't like my band?"

Yes, I am obsessed with Scott Pilgrim! Expect to see much more of him in the future, and on a serious note this was copied from book... 2 I think? Maybe it was 5... I think it was 5. Someone correct me on that!

Ice Guardian

I like this one almost as much as I do the Water Guardian (see below)! He turned out just as well and I think he's awesome! He may also be featured in the Chameleonetta comic, but I'm not promising that I'm even going to finish that... Sorry...
Either way, let me know what you think of him!

Water Guardian

I fucking love this. THIS IS A BIG MOMENT IN MY LIFE. This is the first drawing I've ever done that looked exactly like it did in my head, and I believe this is a turning point in my drawing career! Sorry to be so excited about it, I just really really love this one. It may be featured in Chameleonetta, if I actually get around to drawing that comic... I might do it in little bits, that would make it easier for me. Anyway, more guardians on the way, but let me know what you think of this one first!

Rocker

I'm simply calling this "Rocker" because I know I'll get hate if I admit who this actually is. I mean you can probably guess who it is, but without me admitting to it, you have no proof! Don't really like this one, but though I'd upload it anyway. One must learn from one's mistakes and all that.

Day 4: On a Date

Pretty romantic, huh? A walk through the forest? Come on, where else are you gonna go on a date in Hyrule? Oh, Lake Hylia, right... Shut up! This is still a really cool drawing. Let me know what you think as always!

Day 3: Gaming

Hey guys, I know I haven't uploaded one of these in a while, but I am STILL DOING THIS CHALLENGE. I intend to eventually finish, it'll just take a lot longer than 30 days, but oh well! Here's Day 3: Gaming, and I really really really like this one. I think it turned out pretty much just how I imagined it, so that's always good!

CHAMELEONETTA STARTED

I have officially started the official Chameleonetta comic! I've found a happy medium between drawing with my tablet and still drawing in real life. I sketch the general outlines of the drawing on paper, scan it into the computer, then colour it in with my tablet! This makes sure that the drawing keeps its original good shape (as I'm not to good at outlining smoothly on my tablet) and it gets a lick of fresh, awesome colour to make it look beautiful.
And now, on topic of the comic. Although I don't have a finished product to show you yet, I've started the first page of the comic and it should be done by tomorrow :) I'll upload a page a day if I can, but I'm not making any promises. This might have to turn into the official website for the Chameleonetta comic book, eh?
Peace out guys, I'll keep you updated.

PROBLEMS

Guys, I have an announcement. As you might have noticed, I haven't been putting any drawings up lately, and that is for many reasons. One, I haven't been able to think up anything to draw. Two, most people around me are better than me and this doesn't really have a good inspirational effect on me. Three, and this is the most important reason, I just can't draw anything right. I got a tablet for Christmas as you already know and the drawings I do on it look like the ones I was doing 5 years ago. I'm 15 now, so that's great, but not if I can't do what I love, and that's drawing. Sure, some of my drawings DO turn out cool, and I'm still drawing on paper as well as on the tablet.
The thing that worries me about this that it happened a few years ago and I got very depressed indeed. I just don't want that to happen again, that's all, so I think I'll be taking a break from drawing from a week or so :) Thanks for your patience in advance, and I'll check back with you all soon.

Chameleonetta's Forms

I can see you looking confused, read the post below and I promise it will explain everything :D
These are what I expect Chameleonetta's different forms to look like when she visits the different Realms of her island. Enjoy!

1. Sky Realm: Chameleonetta is most at home in the clouds, and she is also at her most powerful as she soars through the skies. She travels around on a small cloud and has (though you can't see them in this drawing because they're folded up on her back) small angel wings.

2. Forest Realm: Chameleonetta is weary of the forest realm, and seeing as she needs to also be at her most camouflaged here, she sprouts small trees on her head to hide her from predators. Her legs sometimes develop into moving roots that behave like tentacles to move her around.

3. Ice Realm: Chameleonetta will leave a trail of snowflakes as she moves through the ice realm, and when she reaches the lake her icicles will melt and she will take on a lighter-coloured version of her underwater self (form number 4, below this one).

4. Underwater Realm: Chameleonetta is perhaps at her most secretive in the cool depths of the ocean, yet also at her most mobile. She develops a mermaid tail to replace her legs, and this allows her to swim around the sea floor with the greatest of ease.

5. Volcano Realm: The smallest realm on the island, Chameleonetta does not often need to visit the towering, fiery inferno of the volcano that often. She find the heat uncomfortable, and it makes her angry. When this happens, her hood will catch fire and she will leave a trail of lava as she walks.

6. This is Chameleonetta's natural, neutral form. She will take this form only when she feels at her safest, or when she is sleeping. This is because she has acute hearing and the only slightest threatening noise will wake her. She does not need to sleep, as she is not effected by tiredness or fatigue; She simply does so to experience dreams.

Chameleonetta Announcement/Map

I know I don't normally stick to my projects, but this is one I am truly ready for! Chameleonetta is all about a small creature (female, in my opinion) who can shape-shift and mimic the environment around her, hence her name of course! Here's the map of her world to get you guys started, complete with giant flying turtle guardian and all the different regions that Chameleonetta can go and explore. The comic itself probably won't have that much of a storyline apart from the fact that she'll have to defeat the various guardians of the different Realms of the island, so it'll be more of an artwork than a comic. Just something to get the thoughts in my head on paper! Let me know what you think, and I'll keep you guys updated on the progress of this thing!
